About Us
Carnes-Miller Gear (CMG) began in 1973, relying on other companies to provide gear blanks and other machining services, while we focused on gear shaping and hobbing operations only. This quickly evolved into a full job shop operation in which we acquired the assets necessary to become self-reliant in gear blanking, milling, grinding, and broaching in order to offer our customers greater control, reasonable pricing and improved delivery. By 1980 we had outgrown our facility and built a 20,000 square foot masonry constructed building with 8" reinforced concrete floors and 15' ceilings that we still own and operate from today.
We are still growing, but our focus has not changed - to provide the best service available. We do this by combining the synergy of trained personnel, modern machine tools and proven processes.
In order to make our customers more competitive, we offer solid manufacturing combined with the latest in communications, data access and control. Through the "net", we can import/export technical data with your engineers and purchasing departments to streamline services, such as receiving CAD drawings, specifications and quote requests.
CMG continues to invest, adapt and upgrade its' services in order to meet your changing needs. This includes assembly and inspection services.
