Customer #1 had some high quality gears to reverse engineer due to long lead times from overseas.  He had another gear supplier attempt to make them and was still having some problems due to the application.  CMG got involved, reversed engineered the gears and analyzed the gears in mesh and discovered an overlooked detail and was able to reproduce the gears and get this customer out of trouble.

Customer #2 had a family of parts that were shafts and they were more set-up to do round blanks.  When a requirement came up for these parts, they had to tear down and disrupt production to blank out the shafts, then they would send them out for EDM of a blind spline.  CMG was able to take the disruption out of their production by turning the blanks, and pass on a savings due to shaping the blind internal spline instead of EDM.

Customer #3 was a design engineer who did not work with gears very often.  CMG was able to provide the gear geometry necessary to fit the application and won the prototype production of that job, and now CMG is in the production environment for that job.

Customer #4 had hardened gears that were over pin wire size after heat treating.  CMG was able to optimize a grinding strategy and touch grind the gears.  The customer was able to use the gears and they went from scrap to a higher quality product.
