Spur Gears
Gears that have teeth designed parallel to the axis of rotation (straight teeth)- Coarse and Medium Pitch Gears (3DP-20DP/10MOD-1MOD)
- Max Outside diameter is 22.0”
- Max face of gear is 5.0” (as a general rule)
- English or Metric
- Turnkey or Cut teeth only
Helical Gears
Gears that have teeth at an angle to the axis of rotation (teeth at an angle, the direction of which is referred to as hand, i.e. right or left)- Coarse and Medium Pitch Gears (3DP-20DP/10MOD-1MOD)
- Max Outside diameter is 16.0”
- Max face of gear is 12.0” (as a general rule)
- Max helical angle of 45 degrees, right or left hand
- English or Metric
- Turnkey or Cut teeth only
Worm and Worm Gears
- Coarse and Medium Pitch Gears (3DP-20DP/10MOD-1MOD)
- Max Outside diameter for Gear is 16.0”
- Max Outside diameter for Worm is 6.0”
- Max number of starts (threads) is 6.
- English or Metric
- Turnkey or Cut teeth only

- Splines: straight sided, involute, fillet, flat, major diameter or side fit
