Sprockets
CMG can manufacture roller chain and silent chain sprockets in both english and metric dimensions. CMG has many of the cutters, both shaping and hobbing as part of its tooling inventory.
The same process can be used to cut sprockets as is used to cut gears, so it only makes sense to offer this service. CMG can manufacture sprockets made to order up to 22.0” in diameter and 5.0” if face width.
CMG does not stock spockets as a standard product offering, it is strictly make to order.
CMG is not competitive with Martin Gear and Sprocket or Browning, or other manufacturers that make standard product lines in sprockets. There are times when a standard product requires too much rework or the material required is not offered, that is when we can become competitive. If you have to have sprockets re-bored, re-keyed, additional milling or a different material, CMG is ready to help.
